If you are a recruitment or rec2rec consultant looking to exceed within your role then it is important that you start to make every day count – and luckily for you, today we are here to tell you how you can achieve this! If you are looking to boost your career here are four steps that you should take seriously…
Step One
The first thing that you should do it sit back, relax and picture where you would like you yourself to be in ninety days. Imagine what you would like to be happening, what you would have liked to achieve etc, and write these things down as though they are happening for you right now. This may not make sense to you now, but it will when you read the following steps…
Step Two
Look at the vision that you have wrote down and ask yourself the following questions…
What are the key actions that I need to take to get to where I would like to be in ninety days?
What do I need to consistently focus on to get to where I want to be in ninety days?
Make sure that you write detailed answers for both of these questions, not only writing down key action and priorities down but also ensuring that you make the specific, measurable, realistic and timed. The more detailed that you write these answers the more likely you will be to make the needed changes.
Step Three
After making these notes each week you should take some time out to sit down and review where you are. Each week you should ask yourself the following:
What have I achieved this week in relation to my vision?
What exactly have I done and how has this assisted me in progression?
What have I not done to achieve my goal and what could have I done differently?
What steps should I take next in order to become closer to achieving my goal?
What are the three most important things to complete in order to help me move forward in the upcoming week?
Doing this will help you see how you have made progress whilst highlighting areas that you need to pay more attention to.
Step Four
In addition to making weekly notes, you should take time out daily to make sure that you are on track – setting yourself daily goals and objectives. This will help you to ensure that no days are wasted and that you are consistently able to make progress.
